News and Events
After another successful summer program in 2017, it gives us great pleasure to announce that Concerts at 7 will return in August 2018, when we will be proud to present four exciting performances.

For those of you new to our program, Concerts at 7 was launched eight years ago by the Plainfield Congregational Church and is dedicated to bringing the finest of chamber music to our beautiful Berkshire hills. We look forward to welcoming old friends and new as we continue a tradition of excellence.

Now entering our ninth season, we are presenting a group of accomplished musicians specializing in performing the great chamber music of the 19th and 20th centuries. Under the artistic direction of baritone David Perkins, each program is carefully researched to cast light on a cultural movement, a school, a musical friendship, or the life and career of a single composer.

As a Plainfield resident, David is excited about helping us carry on the tradition of outstanding chamber music which has characterized Concerts at 7. He is inviting many of the finest chamber musicians in western Massachusetts, along with guest artists from elsewhere in New England, to participate in four programs you won’t want to miss.

As has been true in the past, the Concerts at 7 series will be free; these truly exceptional musical experiences are available to all. Hilltowners and visitors have filled the beautiful 1846
Plainfield Congregational Church to enjoy the outstanding acoustics, the bucolic setting, the magnificent music, and a chance to get to know the musicians after the concerts.

The cost of presenting musical programs of this caliber is considerable, and we depend upon private support to make them possibleIf you would like to make a tax deductible contribution to Concerts at 7, send your check, made out to Plainfield Congregational Church with “Concerts at 7” noted on the memo line, to Concerts at 7, Plainfield Congregational Church, P.O. Box 2, Plainfield, MA 01070.

We look forward to having you join us for four memorable August evenings when Concerts at 7 fills the soft summer air with music.
